So the last time I tried to make a mug cake at home, I was adding flour and –sigh– it was just a little off balance. So I thought to myself, why not try a recipe that has no flour involved.
Ready to replicate? Here’s what you’ll need:
1/2 TBSP Milk (Almond or Dairy)
2 TBSP Butter/Margarine
2.5 TBSP Sugar
2 TBSP Cocoa Powder
Splash of Vanilla
Optional: Chocolate chips
Power whisk your egg with a fork for roughly 60 seconds.
Add in your milk and sugar and give that a good whisk for 30 seconds.
Add in your butter and power whisk your batter.
Now it’s time for your cocoa!
Add in your cocoa and whisk for 90 seconds to blend well.
Finally add in your splash of vanilla and whisk for a minute.
Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds, checking your mug after the first minute.
And that’s it!
Optional, top with chocolate chips while warm, then cover mug. Place back in warm microwave for about 2 minutes.
