So I know there’s a lot of different recipes out there for Dorito casseroles, but I thought to myself…

“What if I took both chicken and beef, put ’em together and make the best Doritos Casserole possible?!”

Here’s what you need for this recipe:

12 Oz Ground Beef

14 Oz Chicken Breast

1 TBSP Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning

14 G Mild Taco Seasoning + ⅓ Cup Water

2 Cups Shredded Cheese

1 Cup Black Beans

1 Can Cream of Chicken

½ Cup Sour Cream

1 Cup Salsa

For baking dishes you can use either:

1 large rectangular baking dish or

a 9 inch round baking dish + 1 medium rectangular baking dish.

Don’t forget to butter your baking dishes!

LET’S START!

I cooked my chicken in the oven on 350 degrees fahrenheit for 25 minutes, while I made my ground beef stove top over medium high heat.

Mix your taco seasoning with your water and set aside while you’re waiting for your ground beef to cook.

Once the ground beef is cooked, add in your taco seasoning mixture.

In a large bowl add your cream of chicken, salsa, sour cream, black beans, and cheese and combine. Split the mix in two and add in your meats.

*Now, if you’re feeling a more Chicken Doritos casserole, or a more Beef Doritos casserole, no problem. Take out one of the meats and “double it up!”*

Now let’s layer!

Starting with your Doritos Nacho begin your first layer in your baking dish by crunching up your chips up inside your dish with your hand. Once the bottom of the dish is completely covered, now it’s time to layer with ground beef.

Once fully covered it’s time to switch!

Cover your ground beef with a crushed layer of Cool Ranch Doritos. Once all the beef is covered, begin to layer with your chicken.

Top your casserole with more Nacho Doritos and Cool Ranch Doritos, then cover with cheese.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 30 minutes covered.

After 30 minutes remove the cover and then make for another 10 minutes.

Let cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!
